The user can hide an unlimited number of files and folders, being invisible to anyone, even from the DOS mode. Files and folders can also be protected, so they cannot be accessed without a password. This password is set when running the software for the first time. Files and folders can also be protected from being modified or deleted.

GiliSoft Privacy Protector features a Private Disk feature, which can create virtual partitions, where the user can safely store all his documents, images, sound files and video clips. Furthermore, there is a feature for safely deleting files and folders, making them impossible to recover using even the most advanced recovery software.

Browser history, including cookies and cache can be completely deleted using GiliSoft Privacy Protector, thus all the user's private information won't be able to get on the wrong hands. Unfortunately, the program only supports Internet Explorer. Windows history can also be erased using the same feature.
